Privacy Policy

Short version: no accounts and no ads. Google Analytics counts visits, and you can decline it. Your measurements are never sent anywhere.

Effective 2026-10-24. Updated the same day to add Google Analytics, before it went live.

Who is responsible

Blissom Apps publishes this site. Contact: support@blissom.app.

What you type stays in your browser

  • Calculations run in your browser. The measurements you enter are not sent to us or to Google, and are not stored on a server.
  • Share links. If you press "Copy link", your measurements are written into the page address (for example ?rise=2743.2). That link goes wherever you paste it; it contains only measurements.
  • Fonts and images are served from this site, not from a font or image service.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to count visits and see which pages and calculators are useful, so we know what to improve. It is used only on staircalculatoronline.com.

  • What is collected: pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, how you arrived (for example from a search), and these site events: that a calculator was used, and whether you printed, copied a link or downloaded a drawing. We do not send the measurements you enter, your name, email or any other personal details. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • Cookies: when analytics is allowed, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_… to tell visits apart. Advertising features and ad cookies are switched off: the site has no ads, and ad storage is always denied.
  • Your choice: a small bar lets you accept or decline. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you accept. Elsewhere they are on unless you decline. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as decline. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (sco-analytics-consent); clear it to choose again. When analytics cookies are off, Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals about the visit without identifiers (Google's "consent mode").
  • Retention: event data is kept for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months (the property's settings as of 2026-10-24).
  • Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also use Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

What the hosting provider processes

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives technical request data, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested page and time, to deliver pages, keep the service secure and keep short-term logs. That processing is governed by Vercel's own privacy policy. The publisher does not use these logs to profile visitors.

Email

If you email us, your message and address are used to reply and to fix reported problems, and are not shared or used for marketing.

Changes

If data collection changes, this policy will be updated first, with the date above changed and the new processing described.
